The Nasarawa Assembly endorses Govt’s N5b loan.

In order to properly finance critical projects in the state of Nasarawa, the state government has requested and received credit permission from the State House of Assembly for N5bn private bond issuance.

It would be recalled that the state government only approached the State House of Assembly for its assistance and approval of N5bn, which will be carried out through the issuance of private bonds to allow the state government to conduct some essential initiatives for its development agenda in the state.

If acquired, the loan would be transferred to essential projects that would directly affect the life of the state’s individuals.

House Speaker Ibrahim- Balabare Abdullahi announced the loan’s approval after a resolution was passed on a letter from Deputy Majority Leader Daniel Ogazi on behalf of Governor Abdullahi Sule during Wednesday’s House hearing in Lafia.

The speaker who praised the maturity and understanding of his peers in obtaining rapid consideration and approval of the loan application observed that the credit would help the government attain its development agenda, which would have a positive effect on the life of its people.

The House’s Minority Leader, Hon Danladi Jatau (PDP-Kokona West), who led the discussion previously, encouraged his peers to assist and approve the application of the Governor for growth.

“I urge you, my colleagues, to support the governor’s request to initiate projects that will have a direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state,” he said.
