Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido has finally bowed to pressure as he tenders a deep apology to his fans in Warri.

The Afrobeat singer via his Instagram story, apologized to them for spending their hard-earned money to attend the event.

He revealed that he had no plans of making it to the concert and had communicated to the organizers earlier, but they kept promoting the show using his name.

Describing it as a shame, he promised to bring Timeless to Delta State and to make it proper, bigger, and better.

“To my lovely fans in Warri that spent their hard-earned money to come out. Apologies you had to experience this. I was not going to be physically able to make it and this had been communicated to them for a longgggg while now I mean MONTHS ago but for reasons best known to them, they continued to promote the show using my name. It’s a shame. But specially for my fans out there, don’t worry you know I gotta bring Timeless to Delta State. We will do it properly, bigger and better”.

Our correspondent reported on Saturday that the Former Nigerian Football Federation president had publicly called out Davido for failing to honor his contract with them.

The NFF President expressed displeasure at how Davido failed to show up at his event which was held on Friday, 6th of October despite paying him an exorbitant amount of money

He claimed that he paid the singer $94,000 and booked a plane with $18000 yet he didn’t turn up, which is a big blow to the city of Warri.

He also accused the singer of being egoistic as he compared him to his rival, Burna Boy, who he stated was far above him.

Relying him, Davido announced his plans to headline a concert in Warri in December, bragging that he wanted to see who would stop him.

In another post, he stated that he would be donating money to NFF since they are suffering.

In a previous post, he had stated that no one has the power to prevent him from performing anywhere, showing his commitment to still taking the stage in Warri.

However, he also hinted at not wanting to reveal all the intricate details of their agreement, leaving the door open to the possibility that there could be undisclosed complexities in the story
