JUST IN – Why PDP will never return to power – Maduekwe

Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, Managing Director of the Nigeria Film Corporation and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), spoke to the primary opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) about its refusal of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s judgement dismissing PDP candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s last general election in 2019.

Atiku and the PDP challenged Muhammadu Buhari’s statement as the winner of the February 23 presidential poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).

The entire petition of Atiku and PDP was rejected by the judge Mohammed Garba,-led Tribunal.
The court held that there was no electronic transfer of outcomes at any stage, which was the crux of the opposition petition.

But, in an interview with newsmen while reacting on Thursday, Maduekwe said the rejection by the tribunal of Atiku’s petition further saved Nigeria from the complete crash for which the 16-year PDP misrule set the basis.

The chieftain of the APC advised the opposition party to forget to return to power because the individuals of Nigeria are faring much better in the strategies of the present APC-led federal government, anchored in empowering the poor, enhancing the economy and safety apparatuses of the nation.

Maduekwe pointed out that Atiku Abubakar is entitled to appeal the presidential court’s decision, boasting that the alleged penalty laid by the opposition PDP will end in fruitlessness.

“I must commend members of the Presidential tribunal for this judgement,” he says. The decision is a win for the democracy of our nation and for the individuals of Nigeria. As you have seen, all the reliefs requested by Atiku and the party were affected by the court decision. It completely rejected it.

“The INEC Server problem was also discussed by the tribunal and the electoral umpire(INEC) was absolved. It also examined allegations of election results inflation, over-voting, and much more, which he(Atiku) claimed in his petition. Due to his tremendous policies that have favorably affected many life of the Nigerian masses, Nigerians voted for Buhari.

“Thus, Atiku is entitled to appeal. But I will advise him to join hands with President Buhari to complement the APC-led federal government’s tremendous attempts to bring Nigeria to the Next Development Level.

“Let me also argue that PDP can never again come to power. Nigerians were disappointed by the party. They were dismissed by Nigerians. PDP has failed in all facets of the economy of the nation. Nigeria individuals will never and will not be permitted to return authority again.

“Finally, I would like to congratulate President Buhari on his presidential court win. The decision showed Nigerians ‘ trust in the administration led by Buhari. He believed in the rule of law
