On Monday, the Nigerian government re-arraigned Omoyele Sowore, RevolutionNow’s convocator, to protest in Abuja at a Federal High Court.
Together with his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, Sowore, who was an African Action Congress presidential candidate for 2019, was re-arraigned.
The duo was brought before the tribunal by State Services Department (DSS) agents.
Sowore reached his supporters ‘ ecstatic arm who did not realize that the judge of the trial, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, was already in court.
Sowore and Bakare are facing seven charges preferred against them by the Federal Government.
Among the accusations is alleged conspiracy to commit treason, money laundering, and the president’s insult. This is coming a week after Mr Sowore’s release was ordered by Justice Taiwo Taiwo after a detention order was passed by the judge issued against him.
