VICE Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources Upstream, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Young Progressive Party, YPP, Anambra South said the party would soon grow into a ruling party, not just Anambra, but in some Nigerian states.
Speaking at a meeting in Nnewi with YPP shareholders, representatives and leaders, the Pioneer Senator and the party’s national leader said the party would soon be one of Nigeria’s oldest and strongest political parties.
Senator Ubah urged party members, leaders, and investors to remain committed, determined, and centered in the party’s affairs, according to a statement from his media office.
The statement reads: “Senator Ubah, who was the party’s first politically elected member, urged members of the party to remain loyal, committed and focused on the party’s affairs.
“He also charged party members with a wholehearted commitment to building and consolidating the core values, activities, vision and purpose of the party, while reminding them that as an emerging third-party power, YPP will not be the ruling party in Anambra in a distant time, assuring members that it will develop into a large political party in Nigeria.
“Senator Ubah also thanked the faithful of the party for their continued support and reaffirmed his pledge to support the party and create a generation of young, energetic party leaders.”
