The new Soun of Ogbomoso Land, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, arrives the ancient city of Ogbomoso in Oyo State for the first time on Friday morning since his formally selection as the Soun of Ogbomoso following the demise of HRM Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi in December, 2021.
The traditional ruler, who arrived town aboard Chopper, was welcomed by a jubilant crowd, who also accompanied him to the Soun’s Palace for a brief traditional rites ahead of his formal coronation.
Recall that earlier on Saturday, the Oyo State government formally confirmed his selection as the next Soun and paramount ruler of Ogbomoso Land.
Ogbomoso is the second largest city in Oyo State after the State Capital city Ibadan.
