Manchester United are now in danger of missing out altogether on European football next season, following a 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Michael Olise scored twice, while Mateta and Tyrone Mitchell also got on the scoresheet at Selhurst Park.

The result leaves the Red Devils in eighth place with three matches left to play this season.

They host Arsenal on Sunday May 12, before the visit of Newcastle on Wednesday May 15.

United finish the season at Brighton on May 19.

With a goal difference of -3 too, Erik ten Hag’s men could fail to qualify for the Europa Conference League.
