FIFA has expressed admiration for the Super Falcons’ remarkable performance during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Regrettably, the Super Falcons concluded their journey in the tournament at the Round of 16 phase.

Under the guidance of Randy Waldrum, the team faced a 4-2 penalty shootout defeat against the reigning European champions, England.

Following an exhilarating 120 minutes of play, the match culminated in a goalless draw.

Having secured the title of nine-time African champions, the Super Falcons managed to hold the Olympic champions, Canada, to a scoreless standoff and secured victory against the co-hosts, Australia, during the group stage.

“FIFA acknowledges the indelible impression left by NGA on #FIFAWWC 2023,” a tweet from FIFA’s official Twitter account conveys.

In the upcoming final match of the competition, England and Spain are set to clash on Sunday.
